Helping People Understand These Misunderstood Species

Happy Howl-o-ween guys! I made this post to say Happy Halloween and to cover question “What are wolf packs doing in October?”

Wolf packs give birth to pups in the spring (March, April May,), Take their pups to rendezvous sites in the summer (July, August), become Nomadic in the fall (September, October, November), and in the winter, they mate and find dens (January, February).

In October, most wolf packs would’ve been nomadic for about a month. They would be teaching their pups how to hunt and fight. The pups have pretty grown to their adult size and would be done growing. Being nomadic gives the adults a chance to travel, following the elk herds and marking territory! The pack would have been given a chance to bond with each other.

Well, that’s really all I have for today! Happy Howl-o-ween!
