Wolf Conservation Efforts

Hello! Hello! I’m sorry for the delay in my weekly posts, but my schedule has been pretty hectic lately I just haven’t found time! As for the delay, I am going to be posting 1 blog posts today and a wolf talk video and a post to make up for the delay! 😊⭐(●’◡’●) I’m also going to do another one tomorrow!

“The Trump Administration finalized a rule on Friday that removes nearly all habitat protections for endangered species.”

This opens up their habitats to logging, mining, oil and gas drilling and other destruction.

“Habitat destruction is the number one threat to endangered species and Trump’s decision is a death sentence for America’s wildlife. it will have imperiled species at an even greater risk of going extinct.”

This is not only a threat to endangered species, but to non-threatening species as well. Take for example, the Arctic wolf. Already facing climate change and mining, with this increase, Arctic wolves are at greater risk of going extinct.

Since the Trump Administration has finalized this rule, he has basically removed habitat destruction from the definition of harm.

“You cannot protect wildlife while allowing destruction of the very places that keep them alive. Conservation without habitat protection is conservation in name only.” stated Team Wolf.

Congress is already advancing multiple efforts to further weaken the ESA. Now more than ever, we need people willing to speak up for wildlife.
