Hello! And welcome to my 1st official blog post! Today I’ll be talking about the fear humans have on wolves.
The War on Wolves began with the arrival of the first Eruopean Settlers. When they arrived, there were wolves everywhere! These Settlers thought that wolves were monsters and wanted to get rid of them all! That fear was passed on to the hunters, ranchers, and townsfolk today. Ranchers were afraid that the wolves would eat their livestock. Hunters just hated the wolves because they were taking all the big game! Townsfolk were worried about having their children wait for the bus because they were afraid that the wolves might eat them, so they designed something that is like a chicken pen but for kids. You basically stick the children inside the pen so they can so-called “safely” wait for the bus.
Now, the wolves are just out living their life as wild animals. They’re hunting elk, deer, caribou, and moose. Sure, SOME of the wolves kill livestock, but not all of them do. You won’t have to worry about getting killed of attacked by a wolf, wolves are shy and stay away from humans. There have only been 2 wolf fatalities in the world so far. Those wolves were rapid wolves. I know hunters need big game to feed their families, but the wolves are only killing the sick, young, and old prey, so you’ll have enough to feed your families. The wolves are learning to coexist with you by staying out of your way, and you should too!
Now as of 2025, Idaho is on a WOLF KILLING SPREE!! “Kill every wolf you can…. Unlimited permits…. No Bag Limits” The government is hoping to reduce the population from about 1,500 wolves to 150 wolves, not for safety, but for fun and for sport. worst of all they’re mostly targeting PUPS!!! Yes! Tiny pups who are barely 10 weeks old are being killed throughout Idaho. If you’re killing them for fun and for sport, is in my opinion, NOT ACCECPTABLE!!! 😡 Doing it for fun and for sport is just useless. You’re just doing it because you hate them and want them gone from the world. No. No. And no. So please use your voice to protect the wolves. They need your help! Thank you for reading this post.
