Hi and welcome to one of this weekend’s posts! I know I haven’t posted in while but I just forgot. Well this post has an unfortunate topic with 2 confirmed wolf deaths have been report by the CPW.
The breeding male of the King Mountain Pack was under-going a recapture and collar mission when during the capture, he died most likely due to stress from the capture. He wasn’t awake during the time of his death; he was tranquilized and just never woke up.
2504F a female from British Columbia, died just a few days before. Her cause of death is being investigated by CPW.
As for wolf 2506F who passed away on October 30, 2025, her death cause still hasn’t been released. Hopefully it will be soon.
